Our project is dedicated to empowering and supporting youth-led rural entrepreneurship initiatives, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life in rural areas. By enhancing the skills and knowledge of youth workers, we focus on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, sustainable practices, effective business planning, basic marketing skills, community engagement, networking, grant writing, and fundraising. We prioritize inclusion and diversity, promoting active citizenship and youth entrepreneurship—including social entrepreneurship—while addressing digital transformation through readiness, resilience, and capacity-building initiatives.
Targeting both primary and secondary groups, our project seeks to create a supportive ecosystem for sustainable rural development. We aim to counter challenges such as youth out-migration by promoting opportunities that encourage young people to stay and thrive in rural areas, as well as attracting new talent and ideas through immigration. By strengthening international collaboration among NGOs and rural entrepreneurs, we are building a foundation for long-term impact and sustainable growth.
YOUth Roots: Nurturing Rural Entrepreneurship is an Erasmus+ Small Scale Partnership between countries from Cyprus, Lithuania, and Italy, aiming to promote sustainable entrepreneurship in rural areas by focusing on reducing youth out-migration and encouraging immigration to these regions, and to support EU priorities related to rural development and youth empowerment.
