Kick-Off Meeting – Cyprus
The YOUth Roots journey officially began in Cyprus, hosted by PlanBe on 6 December 2024. Plan it Be it where partners met in person to solidify plans, aligned on objectives, and celebrated the start of our project. This event marked the start of a transformative journey toward empowering rural youth.The Final Evaluation meeting was hosted on 6th December 2024.
Mid-Term Evaluation meeting – Online
On May 27th 2025, we held an online partners meeting where we discussed the upcoming steps of our project. During the session, we reviewed the project’s progress and began aligning schedules for upcoming in-person meetings. The strong collaboration and seamless communication demonstrated by all partners are truly driving us forward.
Training Course – Italy
From 15–19 July 2025, the YOUth Roots Training Course brought together young people from across Europe to build practical rural entrepreneurship skills. Over five days, participants explored strategies to create local opportunities and reduce youth out-migration through hands-on workshops, peer learning, and real community challenges.
Feedback highlighted how valuable the interactive approach was, and suggested adding more real-world case studies in future editions to strengthen the learning experience even further.
YOUth Roots: Nurturing Rural Entrepreneurship is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership between countries from Cyprus, Lithuania, and Italy, aiming to promote sustainable entrepreneurship in rural areas by focusing on reducing youth out-migration and encouraging immigration to these regions, and to support EU priorities related to rural development and youth empowerment.
